Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen/Wings of Help’s booth was packed at the opening of the new Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport
The questions about our global missions and the use of the Frankfurt air traffic hub were central to the inquiries of visitors who came to the opening of Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport. Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen/Wings of Help e.V. (LOG/WoH) welcomed several hundred visitors to its booth on April 11 and 12 – local residents and consumers from the region, as well as guests who are themselves involved in humanitarian work. Our booth was staffed in shifts on both days, and our team, including board members, readily provided information about our organization, whose headquarters are located just a few hundred meters away from the new Terminal 3 in Cargo City South. Why is Frankfurt so ideal for shipping aid supplies around the world? How safe is the transport of pharmaceuticals via the airport? How can one collaborate with LOG/WoH? – These were the most frequently asked questions, which were answered in detail through discussions, banner displays, brochures, and videos. The location of the booth was well-chosen for LOG/WoH, as it is an active part of the airport and in close proximity to other important institutions such as the Federal Police, Customs, and Fraport AG itself.
LOG/WoH President Ralf Bülter: “For us, it was a wonderful opportunity to present ourselves and our work, and to showcase our humanitarian goals with renewed energy to a broad public here in the new Terminal 3.” Over 30,000 visitors came to experience the terminal on both opening days – as large as 25 football fields, built over ten years at a cost of almost four billion euros, and with a capacity of around 20 million passengers annually. For Frankfurt Airport, it represents a milestone on the path to the future, a path that LOG/WoH has been supporting for over two decades.
