Ukraine/Romania: Joy about warm clothes, toys and sweets

At the interface between war and peace: Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen/Wings of Help brought Christmas presents to orphans and families on the run

Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen/Wings of Help (LOG/WoH) e.V. brought a lot of joy to over 1,200 people in Ukraine and Romania in Pre-Christmas time: The aid organization based at Frankfurt Airport organized in Rakiv (Western Ukraine) and in refugee camps in Baia Mare (Carpathians/Romania) major Christmas events and brought warm clothing, toys, sweets and hygiene products to the region by truck. LOG/WoH arranged further a special Christmas party in Rakiv for orphans who lost their parents in the Ukraine war. Both events were organized in collaboration with the “Rotary Club Baia Mare 2005”.

“The many people in front of the distribution counters with our relief supplies made very clear to us the great need in this war-torn region. LOG/WoH has a particularly strong connection to this part of Europe at the interface between war and peace. Since the outbreak of war, our organization has now brought twelve convoys with a total of over 2,500 tons of relief goods on 88 trailers and trucks via this humanitarian bridge to people in Ukraine and to refugees along the border. We will continue our help in 2024 and thank all supporters for their tireless commitment”, said LOG-WoH-President Frank Franke.
