Aid from Germany for Ukraine continues. Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen/Wings of Help e.V. (LOG/WoH), based at Frankfurt Airport, put together four more heavy trucks with aid supplies this week, which have now reached the Romanian-Ukrainian border. Since the beginning of the war, LOG/WoH has organized convoys consisting of 60 trucks with 1,200 tons of relief supplies. The trucks mainly bring hygiene products, baby food, disinfectants, diapers and mineral water to the needy in Romania and Ukraine. The current convoy alone had loaded 230,000 diapers. The relief supplies are destined for camps along the border, but also for people in need in Ukrainian cities. Reliable on-site distribution is carried out by LOG/WoH partner organizations. The UN Refugee Commission (UNHCR) currently counts more than eight million internally displaced persons in Ukraine and about as many in neighboring countries. Most are in Poland, Germany, Hungary and Romania.
