“Berliners” become “Ukrainians”

Bakery Mälzer in the capital sells pastries to benefit the Ukraine missions of Wings of Hel

There are currently many individual campaigns all over Germany to support aid projects for war refugees from Ukraine. A special feature is the sale of the Erste Rheinl. Bakery L. Mälzer in Berlin, which has been offering “Ukrainer” through its seven branches in the city for weeks, which are actually called “Berliner”. The icing in the Ukrainian national colors of blue and yellow has made them Ukrainians who are now very popular. For every pastry, one euro goes to the Ukraine aid mission of Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen/Wings of Help e.V., whereby a considerable four-digit amount has been collected to date, which is used specifically to benefit war refugees. To date, the aid organization has brought 18 trucks with relief supplies to people who have fled Ukraine. Our picture shows saleswoman Sandra Tabbert in the Berlin main branch of the Mälzer bakery with the blue and yellow pastries.
