Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen e.V. / Wings of Help brings clothes, food and toys to Buzias and Timisoara
Romania is home to the poorest children in Europe. Also there, Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen e.V. / Wings of Help e.V. is committed and has been supporting children’s homes and orphanages in Buzias and the big city of Timisoara with three projects for more than ten years. Several hundred children suffering from either hemophilia, diabetes or from malnutrition are supported directly. In 2019, the children were supplied with baby food, solid winter clothing, toys, sweets and goods for daily use by a truck transport from Germany at the time of St. Nicholas. Together with the Bayerische Kinderhilfe Romania e.V., a transport was organized, which – accompanied by the well-known hematologist Professor Dr. Wolfgang Schramm – had now arrived in the two Romanian cities. Professor Schramm: “We are particularly pleased about the sustainability of this project, because Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help has been supporting us for many years in a very excellent and highly reliable way.”
“The help for children in the three Romanian institutions, including the children’s home of the Cristian Serban Foundation in Buzias, is very close to our hearts. We want to underline that not only on distant continents there is great need, but also here, directly in Europe,” says Frank Franke, Managing Director of Aviation without Borders / Wings of Help e.V. on site in Buzias. The charity sees the commitment in Romania as a long-term aid for children in need and carries out these aid transports on a regular basis.
