Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help calls on its members to take part in the Christmas gift campaign
The pre-Christmas season is in full swing at the headquarters of Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help e.V.
(LOG/WoH) in Cargo City South at Frankfurt Airport: employees and board members are packing parcels for the
Christmas season to benefit those in need in Ukraine – people on the run in Ukraine itself or in camps along the
Ukrainian-Romanian border, where hundreds of people have been eking out their lives in camps since the start of the war. LOG/WoH will prepare several hundred parcels to be distributed at Christmas parties. The organization has already organized celebrations on both sides of the border in 2023 – with overwhelming success. At Christmas events in Rakiv (western Ukraine) and in refugee camps in Baia Mare (Carpathians/Romania), warm clothes, toys, sweets and hygiene products, which had previously been brought to the region by truck, were distributed to 1,200 people alongside surprise parcels.
Frank Franke, LOH/WoH President: “LOG/WoH has particularly strong ties to this part of Europe at the crossroads between war and peace. Since the outbreak of war, our organization has now organized and personally accompanied 19 convoys with a total of over 3,000 tons of relief supplies. Our members should help to stimulate this aid again this year by contributing financially to the parcel campaign.” For an amount of either 20 or 30 euros, they can bring help and joy to the people affected, for whom LOG/WoH is currently planning Christmas celebrations on both sides of the border.
